Charlbury Bowls Club located in Ticknell Piece Road is a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC).

Our members range in age from seven year olds to eighty plus showing that Bowls is a sport for all to enjoy. From April to September, we play Lawn Green Bowls outdoors, while Short-Mat Bowls is played indoors all year round.

Throughout the year, we offer a varied programme: social/practice play, club competitions, men's, ladies and mixed leagues and friendly matches with neighbouring clubs.

As part of our commitment to the local community, in conjunction with ATIC (All Together in Charlbury), we hold Bowled Over, a monthly session for local residents experiencing health issues. They, along with their partners and carers, join us for an afternoon session of fun play with a break for tea / coffee and cake. To learn more please contact us enquiries@charlburybowls.co.uk

When the clubhouse isn’t in use for bowling, it is available for hire to local groups, these include Pilates, Children’s Stay and Play, Memory Cafe, and Antique Valuation days. Additionally, the Clubhouse may be hired for private events, birthdays parties, wakes and other celebrations.

We are always happy to see new faces come along to our social / practice play sessions and have a go. These take place on Friday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm for adults and on Saturday mornings from 10am to 12pm for juniors aged 7 to 16, and at further times throughout the year.
