Charlbury bowler selected to captain England Under 21s

Charlbury Bowls Club is pleased to announce that a record number of ten club members, including four of our Under 18s, have qualified for this year’s National Short Mat Finals at Melton Mowbray and will representing Oxfordshire in five of the seven events during March and April.

We are delighted that one of our Junior Academy players, at 12 years old, is the current U18s County Short Mat Champion for 2025. This continues the trend of the U18s County short mat champion coming from Charlbury for the last few years.

Our short mat teams are enjoying a good season in the OSMBA league and we are hoping to continue their success in the lawn bowls leagues from April to September.
